What is Light in the dark about?

Light in the Dark is a fundraiser set up by myself to help navigate my grief and give back to families, to have the same precious time I did with my son.

Who is Reuben?

Reuben is my beloved son, who came into the world at 20 weeks and 4 days.

Why did you start this fundraiser?

I started this fundraiser because whilst living in loss, I needed something meaningful to do whilst trying to navigate my grief and keep myself busy.

What inspired the name “Light in the dark”?

The name Light in the Dark was chosen because Reuben and my fundraiser will always be my light in the dark, helping me through any negative and bad days.

How does this help you through your journey?

It helps me have a purpose. For 20 weeks and 4 days, I dreamt of being a mum and what life would be like for me, and that's gone. This is the only thing I can do to honour my son and keep his memory alive.
